Scripture
"And any man that shall go and preach this gospel of the kingdom, and fail not to continue faithful in all things, shall not be weary in mind, neither darkened, neither in body, limb, nor joint; and a hair of his head shall not fall to the ground unnoticed. And they shall not go hungry, neither athirst." - Doctrine and Covenants 84:80

He's In!
Hello Friends and Family:
Our son was set apart last night as a Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Our Stake President, Bishop of the Single's Ward and his father were in the circle to bestow this great honor and blessing upon him. From this point on and for the next two years, he will be called "Elder Molnar" by all.
We pulled up curbside at the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah, at 1:15 pm MST today. There, we were greeted by senior missionaries to turn Elder Molnar over from the care of his parents into the hollow of His hands.
Elder Molnar will spend the next two months learning Tagalog, and preparing himself for the mission field where he will serve until his return in July, 2014. He will sacrifice much, leaving behind his family, friends, all his worldly goods, putting his education on hold, and forgetting himself. He will focus on serving the Lord and the great people of the Philippines, Quezon City North Mission, with all his might, mind and strength.
We would like to express our sincere love and appreciation to our family, especially those in Utah and those recently visited in California, who have shown Christlike love and support.
Our thanks also to great leaders in the Church and Seminary teachers who have assisted us in teaching him Gospel principles, and being amazing examples of solid family values.
To Elder Molnar's friends, we thank you. We know that he could not have done this without you. What an incredible bond of brotherhood you all have, and what amazing parents to have raised such wonderful young men. To you all, GO FORTH AND SERVE, AND RETURN WITH HONOR!
We love you,
The Molnar's

I love this post and agree with it wholeheartedly!! I am so grateful also for so many that have helped our young men get to this point in their lives, so that they could be prepared and willing to serve God and the people across this world! I'm glad that Peter and Taylor can share this part of their adventure with each other!
ReplyDelete...and that we can be missionary mom's together too. I am so grateful for our friendship. Thanks also for helping me "get there".

I know is hard, but this post seriously makes me so happy! Is not going to be an easy mission but he is going to love it! And don't worry, because I know for a fact that he will be taken care of. I have never ever meet a more caring and hospitable people. It truly will be the best two years of his life thus far :)
